How wonderfully cool! Karma is about to bite the Progressives in the ass.

It’s voting day in America. There are many important races and issues being voted on. The one with the highest profile is probably the special election to fill the Massachusetts Senate seat vacated by the late Ted Kennedy.

Just the fact that there is a genuine race for this seat in Massachusetts is big news by itself. (Massachusetts is about as liberal as a population can be outside of Europe.)

Now the Republican candidate, Scott Brown is not what I would call a perfect conservative, but this is Massachusetts, and if elected Scott Browns senate vote can put a stop to government health care and Cap’n Tax.

Even is Brown loses by a small margin it will strike fear into the hearts of democrats across the country. It’s Massachusetts, it’s Ted Kennedy’s seat, democrats own Congress, Obama-care is sooo close; if the democrats lose this one – it’s huge.

Obama’s handlers will become more visible as they try to push the progressive agenda ahead further.

We’re pushing a crazed, frenzied political animal into a corner. This animal is not going to slink away, it will fight back. The up side will be that it will be revealed for the dangerous self serving creature it is. The down side is that it might take some desperate steps to fight back. People, institutions, reputations may get hurt in the process.

Good luck Scott Brown – I hope you have a decisive victory there in Massachusetts.

If it wasn’t so scary, it would be funny. The Obama administration simply is not capable of taking responsibility for anything.

Referring to the failed Christmas airplane bombing, White House aide John Brennan said, “There is no smoking gun.” This is the top CIA guy in the White House. He is all about counter intelligence.

Now, I’m NOT a CIA guy and I’ll bet you aren’t either, but let’s take a peek at some clues and see if we can come up with a suggested plan of action for the inept White House.

OK, a guy named Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab from Nigeria want to get on a plane bound for the United States.

Umar does not have a passport.

Umar bought a one-way ticket, with cash.

Umar has no luggage.

A couple weeks earlier Umar’s father told US intelligence that he was concerned about Umar’s increasing radical views.

As it turns out, it was Umar’s underpants that ended up smoking. Now, maybe I wouldn’t have guessed that Umar was going to try to blow up the plane; genitals first, but I know that I would have at least pulled this whack job to the side for some additional screening.

What the hell is wrong with the White House?

It occurred to me that the Obama administration was real quick to call me a terrorist or nazi when I attended my first tea party last spring. And, the government came down like a ton of bricks on border guards Campios and Ramos. Democrats made a hobby out of bitching about our courageous military men and women. And more recently hang three of our Navy Seals out to dry for delivering an enemy combatant sporting a fat lip.

Then they decided to bring terrorists imprisoned in Guantanimo to stand trial in civilian court; necessitating release of national security secrets to prosecute these bastards.

In November another terrorist (this one a US Army officer) blows away 13+ soldiers. The prez told us to not rush to judgement. Since then, we’ve discovered that there were dozens of red flags all over this ass, but because of political correctness, (we certainly wouldn’t want to offend anyone), it will be handled as a domestic crime – not an act of terrorism.

And now the jerk that tried to take down that plane on Christmas; His own father warned the FBI that he was concerned that his son had become radicalized and was concerned what he might do. He studied at Terror-U with the same al quaeda trainer as the guy in Ft Hood. He bought a one way ticket, with cash. Geez, have we learned anything since 9/11?

Well, here’s what I’ve learned. The Obama administration has more regard for terrorists than for American citizens. Our national security policy is something like – every man for himself, and if you’re an American citizen, there probably shouldn’t be any witnesses to you fighting for your life, or you will go to court.

The worst enemies of America hold political office in America.

God help us.

Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize shocked Nobel observers. For one thing, he took office less than two weeks before the February 1 nomination deadline. Some say Mr Obama had been given the prize prematurely and that he has much work to do if he was to live up to the award

Praise for Mr. Obama is flowing in from around the world:

Hisham Qasim, Egyptian democracy and human rights activist, said he was “shocked” Obama won. “He has achieved nothing. He’s stumbling. He hasn’t achieved any of his promises and nothing is working.”

Gideon Rachman, a foreign affairs columnist for The Financial Times; “I doubt that I am alone in wondering whether this award is slightly premature. It is hard to point to a single place where Obama’s efforts have actually brought about peace – Gaza, Iran, Sri Lanka?”

Hamas official Ahmed Yousef – “It is early for him to be awarded this prize. The president has done nothing to push forward peace between Israeli and Palestinians.”

Polish leader Lech Walesa – “Who, Obama? So fast? Too fast — he hasn’t had the time to do anything yet.”

Obama also gets $1.3 million dollars! This windfall bonus is obscene and excessive and I expect that Obama will be redistributing it to the American people.

Thee was a big stink made about Obama’s plan to make a speech to school children this morning; the first day of school for many districts. Most of the flap was over his original lesson plan for teachers that had the kids setting goals and seemed to leave the kids accountable to the president. Then there was a video that one Utah school had shown last week. That video highlighted a variety of celebrities pledging to do one thing or another and ended with a chorus of all of them pledging to serve the president. It’s really creepy.

Well, the speech is over and what ever version was used today was just fine. It was all about the kids taking responsibility for themselves. To work hard, persevere, be respectful of teachers and parents.

But at the end of the day, the circumstances of your life – what you look like, where you come from, how much money you have, what you’ve got going on at home – that’s no excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude. That’s no excuse for talking back to your teacher, or cutting class, or dropping out of school. That’s no excuse for not trying.
Where you are right now doesn’t have to determine where you’ll end up. No one’s written your destiny for you. Here in America, you write your own destiny. You make your own future.

I have no beef with the words, the tone, the message – it’s great! I wish Obama would bring the same attitude and rhetoric to his policies.

I think there’s one important thing to be learned from the whole episode;

A big group of the American public don’t trust Obama; at least not enough to let him talk to their kids. Given the inconsistency of his message, I understand why.

Let’s see how he squares all this personal responsibility talk with his message to the joint session of congress tomorrow; speaking about government health care.

Oh, I expected the state run media to be endlessly lavishing praise on Kennedy. I assumed that attending democrats to use the event to promote socialized healthcare. But I never imagined that these low-life cretons could stoop to sending Ted’s grandchildren to the podium to offer a political speech.

I think it’s wonderful if the kids want to offer a prayer of intercession of thier own, from thier heart, about Grampa, but the grownups decide to make them into democrat puppets. One of the grandchildrens’ lines ended with the ”cause of his life to see every American have decent quality health care as a fundamental right and not a privilege.”

That’s bad enough but in doing so, the child has announced that Ted has conferred a new right to the American people. Up until now the rights of American people were bestowed upon us by God. It’s supposed to be the government’s job to assure that those rights of the American people are protected. But, neither the government, Obama, nor even Ted Kennedy can confer rights to anybody.

Golly-whiz, it’s almost like ABC and NBC are working with an oppressive dictatorship to keep information from the public!

The ABC and NBC networks refused to show an advertisement criticizing President Obama’s health care reform plan. ABC aired a special report in June on healthcare that was hosted at the White House.

Sponsored by the League of American Voters, the ad features neurosurgeon Mark J. Cuffe MD who warns that a government-run health care system will lead to the rationing of procedures and medicine. It began airing weeks ago on local affiliates of ABC, NBC, FOX and CBS, but ABC and NBC have refused to run the spot nationally.

“It’s a powerful ad,” said Bob Adams, executive director of the League of American Voters, a national nonprofit group with 15,000 members who advocate individual liberty and government accountability. “It tells the truth and it really highlights one of the biggest vulnerabilities and problems with this proposed legislation, which is it rations health care and disproportionately will decimate the quality of health care for seniors.”

“The ABC Television Network has a long-standing policy that we do not sell time for advertising that presents a partisan position on a controversial public issue,” spokeswoman Susan Sewell said in a written statement. “Just to be clear, this is a policy for the entire network, not just ABC News.” NBC says it may consider it if revised. (TorchandandFork Editorial Note: I guess Susan Sewer forgot to mention that ABC is happy to give time away to the dictator they support.)
Martin Barillas is a former US diplomat, who also worked as a democracy advocate and election observer in Latin America.

American citizens have been grilling their representatives with questions and comments about government run, socialized medicine. These citizens had the audacity to actually read some of the proposed legislation and had some questions and lots of comments to pose to their representatives.

The democrat senators and congressmen have found it uncomfortable to peddle their bullshit to constituents that can read and have a mind of their own. We’ve all seen town hall meetings filled with citizens angry with their representatives for not being representative! For not reading the legislation before voting for it. For spending enormous sums of money recklessly. For bailing out failed industries with our money. For systematically dismantling our economy and replacing it with government sponsored substitutes.

Pelosi said that the people at these meetings weren’t real people, they were instead operatives of some right-wing conspiracy designed to take Obama down.

Obama has been saying that the messages from the “angry mobs” about killing private health insurance and euthanasia are simply not true.

When you read the House’s “health care for all Americans” bill. Right there on Page 16 is a provision making individual private medical insurance illegal.
The provision outlaws individual private coverage. Under the header of “Protecting The Choice To Keep Current Coverage,” the “Limitation On New Enrollment” section of the bill clearly states:

“Except as provided in this paragraph, the individual health insurance issuer offering such coverage does not enroll any individual in such coverage if the first effective date of coverage is on or after the first day” of the year the legislation becomes law.

So we can all keep our coverage, just as promised — with, of course, exceptions: Those who currently have private individual coverage won’t be able to change it. Nor will those who leave a company to work for themselves be free to buy individual plans from private carriers.

From the beginning, opponents of the public option plan have warned that if the government gets into the business of offering subsidized health insurance coverage, the private insurance market will wither. Drawn by a public option that will be 30% to 40% cheaper than their current premiums because taxpayers will be funding it, employers will gladly scrap their private plans and go with Washington’s coverage.

The nonpartisan Lewin Group estimated in April that 120 million or more Americans could lose their group coverage at work and end up in such a program. That would leave private carriers with 50 million or fewer customers. This could cause the market to, as Lewin Vice President John Sheils put it, “fizzle out altogether.”

What wasn’t known until now is that the bill itself will kill the market for private individual coverage by not letting any new policies be written after the public option becomes law.

The legislation is also likely to finish off health savings accounts, a goal that Democrats have had for years. They want to crush that alternative because nothing gives individuals more control over their medical care, and the government less, than HSAs.

With HSAs out of the way, a key obstacle to the left’s expansion of the welfare state will be removed.

The public option won’t be an option for many, but rather a mandate for buying government care. A free people should be outraged at this advance of soft tyranny.

Washington does not have the constitutional or moral authority to outlaw private markets in which parties voluntarily participate. It shouldn’t be killing business opportunities, or limiting choices, or legislating major changes in Americans’ lives.

And what about that euthanasia claim? Well, I think that’s a twist of words on Obama’s part. I don’t think anyone actually mistook Obama Care for euthanasia. After all, euthanasia puts someone who is suffering out of their misery. Obama Care on the other hand, will ration care to those who some bureaucratic panel has deemed to be more valuable to society. So, Obama is right; it’s not euthanasia but it will certainly “thin the herd”. And, it seems to me that older folks, those with disabilities and those that require long term care should be worried!

Dear Friend,

Senior citizens who went to a meeting sponsored by AARP were left to themselves after the AARP hostess walked out. The seniors were trying to get answers concerning ObamaCare and why AARP would support a government controlled health system that many believe would lead to euthanasia and rationing of health care.

Why would AARP, the nation’s largest seniors group, supposedly working for the elderly, support an ObamaCare bill? Here is what Dick Morris, former advisor to President Clinton, said: “The interest groups that usually speak up for the elderly, particularly AARP, are in Obama’s pocket, hoping to profit from his program by becoming one of its vendors. Just as they backed Bush’s prescription drug plan because they anticipated profiting from it, so they are now helping Obama gut the medical care of their constituents.”

Like the National Education Association, AARP has been taken over by liberals. With millions of members, AARP is using its clout to push ObamaCare on the elderly, even if it includes euthanasia. AARP supported homosexual marriage by opposing Prop 8 in California.
