The people in Iran have had enough. The Iranian dictatorship staged an election and what do you know – Ahmadinejad won.
The Iranian people continue to take to the streets in protest, now two weeks following the election results.
The Revolutionary Guard has been beating the protesters with clubs and shooting indiscriminately into the crowds – and still the protests continue.
The media has been pretty much shut down in Iran – the photo shown here was taken by some brave soul wanting to share the reality of the situation. The Iranian government has also been taking pictures, then they ID the protesters and drag them from their homes, apartments and dormitories in the dead of night.
President Obama was accused yesterday of being “timid and passive” in his response towards the turmoil in Iran where, Republicans claim, protesters are crying out for America to show moral leadership.
Although he used his strongest words yet over the weekend, when a written statement called on the Iranian Government to stop all violent and unjust actions against its own people, Mr Obama has so far declined to pronounce on the fairness of the election and is facing growing criticism at home.
