California – Too Big To Save

kah-li-forn-i-ahYou know how people just don’t learn things unless / until they are accountable for their actions?  Well, California is the same stupid thing. 

They put themselves in the fix they are in.  California has had decades of warnings, private and corporate citizens leaving in droves, plain stupid spending and liberal politics and now they are broke.  They are the third largest economy in the world and they are broke and wanting a bailout.

Well, if we have learned anything from bailouts – they don’t work.  It would be better to let it fail, pick up the pieces and start over. 

If Obama bails out California, they will have learned  nothing.  The state government will continue it’s stupid, liberal poilicies and crazy spending except we’ll all be paying the bill; and they will still go bankrupt.

Obama Divides Catholic Church

obami-notre-dameObama was invited to deliver a commencement speech to Notre Dame graduates yesterday. 

There’s been a big flap for the last few weeks about it because of Obama’s pro-infanticide position;  invited to speak at this Catholic university; an institution that most would assume is pro-life. 

Obama just did what he does – there’s no surprise there.  The Notre Dame officials in charge of Obama being there in the first place are the dill holes in this story. 

And, Obama won anyway – he succeeded in splitting the Catholic church.  Group A: Those who believe in their convictions and will stand to protect those who cannot protect themselves. Group B: Those that don’t seem to have a problem with disposing of unborn children like used hamburger wrapping paper.

I applaud the students that had the grapes to stand up and voice their dis-agreement.  You know you can’t do that in some countries …  Oh, wait, you can’t do it in this country – everyone that shouted dis-agreement was arrested.

The Left’s New Back-Door Strategy to Silence Talk Radio

The Left is launching a new and more deceptive strategy to implement the so-called “Fairness” Doctrine — under different names and without a vote in Congress. But their goal remains the same – the silencing of conservative and Christian talk radio.

Obama’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is preparing to use regulatory terms like “diversity,” “localism” and serving the Left’s definition of the “public interest” as new, backdoor “Fairness” Doctrines to indirectly impose radio censorship. This new line of attack could be implemented without a vote in Congress and without ever using the name “Fairness” Doctrine.

Obama’s acting FCC Chairman, Michael Copps, says he believes the government has a role in enforcing media “diversity” — including the re-examination of station licensing and making popular conservative and Christian radio programming somehow “more reflective” of “public interest!”

Copps added that given the new political climate, “we have a tremendous opportunity going forward to reinvigorate our media, to ensure that the public airwaves truly deliver the kind of news and information that we needto sustain our democratic dialouge and to reflect the great diversity of our country.”

This government intrusion on our Free Speech Rights must be stopped.
