You Might Be A Right Wing Terrorist!

Friday, April 17th, 2009

Yup, according to Janet Napolitano, head of the Department of Homeland Security it looks like lot of people are under suspicion.

The Department of Homeland Security issued a report sent to law enforcement across the country.  The report highlights specific groups of people as highrisk threats.  I wish I was joking, but I’m not.  The high risk groups, the ones that Homeland Security sees as a threat to America’s security include;

  • Those that support Pro-Life; the ones that do NOT want to kill babies.
  • Those that support limited government; the ones opposed to spending trillions of dollars without even knowing what we’re spending it on.
  • Those that express concern over the government considering changes to second amendment rights.
  • Those expressing concern over illegal immigration; the report is specific on this.  They don’t say immigration, they say illegal immigration.
  • Those that have served in the United States Military.

I find it rather disturbing that the government is targeting groups of people that represent very positive ideology as potential terrorists.

When challenged about the report, Janet Napolitano said she stood behind it.

I am beginning to think that the biggest threats to America hold elected office and in Janet Napolitano’s case were appointed by an elected official.

I suppose if I wasn’t on the watch list before, this post ought to do the trick.  I am comforted by the fact that I’ll be on the same list as hundreds of thousands, perhaps millions of other patriotic American citizens.

‘Tea Party’ Protests Expected Across U.S.

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

Anti-tax “tea party” organizers say they will deliver one million tea bags to a Washington, D.C., park Wednesday morning — the kick-off to a day of protests expected across the country by people fed up with high taxes and excess spending.

The demonstrations are part of a larger grassroots movement to protest massive government spending called Taxed Enough Already, or TEA — giving name to the Tax Day Tea Parties.

Rallies against government spending are scheduled across the nation, more than 235 years after the original Boston Tea Party revolt against taxes.

Crowds of 5,000 to 10,000 are expected in various cities like New York, Atlanta and Sacramento, according to Mike Leahy, co-founder of Top Conservatives on Twitter, one of the three conservative groups helping to coordinate the protests on a national scale.

Organizers say they’re steamed at government spending since President Obama’s administration took over.

The latest round of protests started yesterday when about 200 people gathered at the Missouri state capitol.

In Pennsylvania, protesters will gather outside Independence Hall in Philadelphia to voice their opposition to taxes on a host of items from cell phones to cigars.

In New Hampshire, state employees are hitting the street to speak out against cuts aimed at public employee jobs.

“These are moms and dads, teachers and students, businessmen and women who are concerned for their country,” Republican Sen. Jim DeMint of South Carolina told FOXNews.com. “They are worried that our nation is quickly being taken in the wrong direction by politicians who are more concerned about the next election instead of the next generation.

“This cuts across party lines and demographic divides. It’s not about Republican or Democrat, its about citizens who believe America can only survive if we protect the principles of liberty from a federal government that is out of control and must be reformed now. And that’s a real message of hope,” Demint said.

DeMint and other well-known conservatives, including former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, are lined up to speak at some of the demonstrations. Texas Gov. Rick Perry told FOX News Wednesday that he’ll be attending protests in San Antonio, Fort Worth, and Austin, Texas.

FBI Negotiators On The Way

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

I haven’t received any confirmation of this next statement, but there are unconfirmed reports that the crew was warned by the White House to not harm the pirates or face undisclosed consequences – if it’s true, Obama is even worse than I thought.

Does Obama Have A Pair Or Not?

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

We’ll find out soon enough I suppose.  A Danish owned cargo ship flying an American flag was hijacked by pirates early today.  The ship has an all American crew of 20.

The ship is carrying food and relief products – they’re not reporting the final destination at this time.

There are no reports right now about who the pirates are or what they want.

It seems to me the proper response is to have the Navy bring a world of hurt on those pirates.  We’ll see what the Prez does; if anything.

Congressional Bully

Wednesday, April 8th, 2009

Few things piss me off more than seeing a bully in action.  The worst examples are government bullies.  I remember Hillary screeching how she was sick and tired of being called unpatriotic, Al Gore informing us that the debate on global warming is over, and Obama’s goon squad trashing Joe the Plumber.  Jerks like these abuse the power they have.

Barney Frank just earned another notch on his bully belt.  Congressman Frank was giving a speech at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard. While Congressman Frank was taking questions from the audience, a student confronted the congressman about the extent of his role in the financial crisis.

Frank totally dodged the question and instead started to attack the student.  The student actually did a pretty good job, reminding the congressman of his position of a public representative and his own as a student asking a question.

Barney Frank came off really bad.  (It was shameful how the audience took the congressmans side though)

So, dirtballs like Barney Frank are just fine and dandy making backroom deals, making promises, breaking promises, saying one thing doing another, but don’t you DARE ask them to explain himself!

I hope the folks in the 4th district of Massachusetts vote this ass out of office at the earliest opportunity.

Torch and Fork Sponsors 9/12 Projects

Monday, April 6th, 2009

Millions of Patriotic Americans are aware of the swell of 9/12 Projects all across America.  In case you have been too busy spring cleaning the bomb shelter or clinging to your guns and religion, the 9/12 projects are groups of American citizens, all across the country (now over 425,000).  These folks are the true heart and soul of America in my opinion.

Back in February, talk show host Glenn Beck spoke to a caller who was obviously distressed over the rapid fire changes the new administration and Congress was forcing down our throats.  The caller stated her case clearly but also said that she felt so alone and wondered if there was someone, anyone else that felt the way she did.  Glenn understood the callers concerns and vowed to prove to the caller that she was not alone.

The next few weeks listeners were asked to consider 9 principles and 12 values and whether they were willing to commit to them.

Then Glenn had a special broadcast in mid March announcing the 9/12 project.  The idea is for concerned citizens to meet with each other, communicate, plan, strategize, all to help steer the country back to the values and principles we believe in.

The 9/12 Projects are still in their infancy.  Most of the groups are planning “Tea-Parties” for April 15th (tax day).  As time passes they will no doubt be planning additional strategies.

Well, Torch and Fork is proud to say that we’ve been with the 9/12′ers right from the start and we’re proud of the work that they are doing for America.

Torch and Fork is offering sponsorship for your 9/12 group.  (There’s always going to be expenses.)  Groups that place a link to purchase Freedom Fighter Lapel Pins receive $1 for each pin purchased!

Bias suits settled with Gold’n Plump, job agency

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

So, what have those whacky Muslims been up to while everybody has been paying attention to the government dismantling American Freedom and Liberty?

Muslim workers receive $1.35 million under a religious discrimination settlement.

Last update: March 31, 2009 – 11:00 PM

Star Tribune, Minneapolis / St. Paul, MN

A federal judge gave approval for Gold’n Plump Inc. and an employment agency to pay $1.35 million to settle lawsuits alleging religious discrimination against Muslims at a chicken processing plant in Cold Spring, Minn.

The money will go to 128 Somali Muslims who claim that St. Cloud-based Gold’n Plump violated their religious rights by refusing to allow them prayer breaks during work hours, and to another 28 workers who said a St. Paul employment agency, the Work Connection Inc., required them to sign forms acknowledging they would be required to handle pork.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission investigated the allegations and said it found cause to believe discrimination occurred, according to lawsuits filed last year.

In a settlement approved Tuesday by U.S. Magistrate Judge Jeanne Graham, Gold’n Plump will add a paid break during the second half of each shift to accommodate Muslim employees who wish to pray. The break is in addition to one early in the shift and lunch breaks required by law.

The Work Connection has agreed to provide offers of employment to the 28 job seekers who were turned away for not signing the “pork form.”

The $1.35 million settlement includes $985,000 for legal costs and $365,000 in cash payments to the 156 workers.
